Appiah Menka Complex Limited (AMC), is a Ghanaian Private Limited Liability,
Agro-processing Company incorporated in 1976.
Our 84 ton per day saponification plant makes us the second largest installed capacity for soap
manufacturing in Ghana. In 2006, we installed and commissioned our 36 metric tons per day oil Refinery
and Fractionation Plant which enables us to also manufacture Edible Vegetable Cooking Oil.
In 1995, before the business temporarily closed, it was ranked 67th in the prestigious Ghana Club 100
(100 most admired companies in Ghana). Operations restarted in 2003, and in 2004 we were awarded the
Gold Medal for excellence in business practice by the Foundation of Excellence in Business Practice
(FEBP) in Geneva, Switzerland.
In 2006 and 2007, we won two bids to produce soap for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees
Representation (UNHCR) in Ghana.
The company is certified under the One Factory One District program in Ghana as well as the ECOWAS
Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS) to export:

To all the ECOWAS member states.
Again, our company, nestled in Kumasi, the middle of the ECOWAS gives us a unique advantage
